Synchronization of system architecture, multi-physics and safety models

Résumé

To face the growing complexity of technical systems engineers are designing models. Today, the integration of models coming from various systems engineering disciplines, such as system architecture, control, multi-physics simulation, automatic code generation, safety and performances analyses, is one of the industrial challenges. In this article we present model synchronization-a framework to ensure consistency between models coming from different systems engineering domains. The framework is based on S2ML (System Structure Modeling Language). We illustrate our purpose using an EMA case study (Electro-mechanical actuator of an aileron for small aircraft). We show how the introduced framework can be used to handle consistency between system architecture models (represented in SysML), safety models (represented in AltaRica 3.0) and multi-physics simulation models (represented with Modelica).
