Poetry without words : investigating a paradox

This issue of Loxias, "Charlot ce poète?" was first designed to respond to an astonishment and answer a question. How to understand the paradox of a "mute poet"? This is the "case" of Charlot/Chaplin. Before getting to the heart of the matter, this introduction will study, through some writings of Chaplin's admirers, the enigma of a cinematographic poetry. Cinema appears in these poets' texts as a language, a paradoxical "alphabet", poetic and non-literary. Popular, irrational, mobilizing, cinema functions as a poetic operator.
