On Sanskrit commentaries dealing with mathematics (Vth-XIIth century)

The diversity of past
readings on Sanskrit commentaries dealing with mathematics by studying texts composed between the fifth
and the twelfth century A. D. Their collection in
libraries, the way they were consequently studied by historians of
mathematics, and a close reading of the commentaries themselves opens new perspectives on the diversity of mathematical texts and practices as much as on the history of positonnal arithmetics in India.

Cet article examine les différentes types de lectures portées, par le passé, sur les
commentaires mathématiques en langue Sanskrite rédigés
entre le VIIéme et le XIIème siècle après J. -C.
Nous nous demanderons comment ces textes ont été réunis
dans des bibliothèques puis comment ils ont été étudiés
par des historiens des math\'{e}matiques.
L'étude de la relation du commentaire à ce qu'il commente ouvre des perspectives nouvelles tant pour l'histoire des différentes pratiques mathématiques et textuelles que
pour l'histoire de l'arithmétique positionnelle
en Inde.
